So while you don&#8217;t strictly have to tip the Peloton delivery guys, tips are always appreciated.<\/p>\n<p>We suggest <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tipwho.com\/article-category\/tipping\/\">tipping<\/a> if your installers went above and beyond, such as hauling the bike up a long flight of stairs. Keep in mind that you are still paying for delivery, even if delivery is now built into the purchase price. Previously, delivery was a separate $250 delivery fee. If it was an uncomplicated, easy delivery, feel free not to tip.<\/p>\n<p>If you want to leave a tip after your Pelton bike has been set up, a recommended tip is $20. Tip amounts are entirely up to you but Peloton&#8217;s delivery folks earn a reasonable wage that is above the minimum wage. There will be at least two, so it helps to have some smaller bills so that you can tip individually if you want to.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Introduction_to_Delivery\"><\/span><strong>Introduction to Delivery<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Peloton delivers your\u00a0Peloton bike\u00a0to your home and sets it up for you, all at no additional cost. You&#8217;ll be enjoying your\u00a0Peloton bike\u00a0on the same day it is delivered!<\/p>\n<p>There are no in-store pickup options or the possibility of shipping the bike to your home and installing it yourself. When your bike is ready for delivery, Peloton will call you one day before delivery. These automated calls tell you the delivery date and time.<\/p>\n<p>Delivery with installation ensures that all Peloton cyclists set up the bike correctly. This improves customer satisfaction and minimizes returns. If you wish you could just put it together yourself, keep in mind that the Peloton bike is heavy. Coming in at 135lb, installation is best left to a Peloton delivery technician.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>What Exactly Does Peloton Delivery Do?<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Peloton will deliver your pre-assembled bike directly to your home, put it in the room of your choice, power on your bike, check that the touchscreen works, and stabilize your bike. Then, they will wipe it down, give you some helpful\u00a0recommendations, and leave instructions explaining how to activate your account. Once they have finished installing your bike, they&#8217;ll also take away all the packaging materials. It&#8217;s a white glove delivery service.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>How Many Peloton Delivery Guys Will There Be?<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>There will be 2 to 3 delivery people, so if you want to leave a tip, it&#8217;s a good idea to tip each person individually so smaller bills will come in handy.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Who Delivers My\u00a0Peloton Bike?<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Your\u00a0Peloton bike\u00a0will be delivered and installed by the\u00a0Peloton delivery team\u00a0or\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/rxo.com\/\">XPO\u00a0Logistics<\/a>, their third-party delivery contractor. Your bike will come pre-assembled to prevent the further spread of covid-19 and minimize the amount of time spent in your home. The bike will be brought to your home or apartment unit and placed in the room of your choice. Once your new Peloton bike is in place, the delivery team will wipe it down. These courses are available at any time of day or night, either as live classes or from the library of courses after hours. The classes are taught by some incredibly motivating and popular Peloton instructors from the Peloton Studio. It&#8217;s an indoor cycling class that can be enjoyed from the location of the exercise room in your house rather than at a gym.<\/p>\n<p>What makes Peloton incredibly addicting, though, is that you get to compete against others taking the same classes. You can set your competition, whether it&#8217;s the whole class or your age and gender group.<\/p>\n<p>While the Peloton classes are what makes Peloton fun, they&#8217;re only available if you have the $44 monthly subscription to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.onepeloton.com\/membership\">Peloton All-Access Membership<\/a>. Without the membership, the bike is a lot less exciting, and it&#8217;s harder to stay motivated. So, in addition to the upfront cost of the\u00a0Peloton Bike\u00a0(<a href=\"https:\/\/www.onepeloton.com\/bike\">$1,445 plus tax for the base model and without any accessories<\/a>), you&#8217;ll have to pay $44 per month ($528 per year) for as long as you want to benefit from all that your Peloton offers.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>How Much Does a Peloton Bike Really Cost?<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>How much does the Peloton bike really cost after accounting for the cost of the monthly membership? The answer is $6,725 plus tax over ten years or $4,085 plus tax over five years. \u00a0While $6,725is a lot of money, so are gym memberships and being unhealthy.<\/p>\n<p>It has been suggested that Peloton sells their bike at cost while the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.investopedia.com\/insights\/how-peloton-makes-money\/\">Peloton memberships are where the real money is<\/a>. The memberships are incredibly profitable because while there is a fixed cost to pay an instructor to produce a Peloton class, there is essentially no cost for each extra subscriber taking part in the class. In a traditional cycling class, a cycling instructor is limited to the size of the workout space and the number of bikes. That&#8217;s not the case here, as one Peloton instructor can have thousands of cyclists in a session and reach them long after through the recorded session.
